WASHINGTON: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he believes Former President General (rtd.) Pervez Musharraf is the assassin of his mother Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the former two-time premier of the country, SAMAA reports Friday.
Speaking to a US-based news television in an interview, he said, giving reason for his belief, that the former president asserted that Benazir’s security will be hinged upon her cooperation.
Musharraf, he added, was in advance aware of the attack; but, he did not make available the enhanced security to her, noting that former president also was not serious about restoration of democracy in the country.
Bilawal Bhutto also claimed that Taliban launched the attack on his mother on directives from Al-Qaeda.
On this occasion, he expressed his resolve to play a full-fledged role in the next general elections. SAMAA
