CNET Analysis: So the HTC One is finally official . Did it meet your expectations or are you waiting for the next-generation smartphone from Samsung instead? There is a lot of anticipation now in the air over the Galaxy S4, but unfortunately there are new whispers suggesting that we may now have to wait until March instead to see the device unveiled at last. There has been strong rumors building up that the Samsung Galaxy S4 would finally be unveiled during MWC 2013 at the end of this month, but now it looks like Samsung are going to keep excited fans waiting just a little longer. Well known rumor spotter Eldar Murtazin has again dished the dirt on Samsung’s upcoming plans and not for the first time – he has provided a solid release date for when Samsung’s next smartphone will arrive. According to his industry sources, he believes that the Galaxy S4 will be unveiled on March 14, at a big event to be held in New York. He revealed the news on Twitter and appears to be very confident with his claims as well. We’ve seen in the past that his early information has proved to be correct, so perhaps we should be quietly confident that March 14 is indeed the final date for the big event. The HTC One has some very nice hardware specs indeed, notably a 1.7Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and an ‘Ultrapixel’ rear camera. Will Samsung be able to top this with the Galaxy S4 or will we see a device which almost matches the HTC One in all areas? Let us know if you are planning to pick up the Galaxy S4 even though it may not hit shops until April, or if the announcement of the HTC One this week has changed your mind. What specs do you need to see to win you over?
