CNET Analysis: There’s been a lot of speculation in regards to two upcoming Android phones, which will more than likely run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. We know that it’s almost a certainty the Motorola X Phone will happen, we just do not know when, although this is a very different story for the Nexus 5, as this handset has not even been hinted by Google yet. Google will find themselves in a very strange place with both these handsets, because on one hand they have always favored a Nexus device, but on the other they have a vested interest in Motorola and the X Phone. Although, we have to remember that these should have different release dates, if the Nexus 5 is to happen that is. Having said that, this has not stopped people from anticipating Nexus 5 and Motorola X features and specs, as if we are to believe the rumors then these will be two handsets with some very outstanding hardware, but which of the two will have the edge? We’ve already looked over some of the expected Nexus 5 specs and features, but for those who cannot remember let us offer you a little recap. Many display sizes have been discussed, but the most recent and more plausible suggests a 5.2-inch display, but we do have a hard time believing rumors of 4GB of RAM and 5,000 mAh, considering Google is expected to sell this handset at a reduced price through their Play Store. However, around 2GB or a little over is more plausible, as is a 3,000 mAh. A 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor seems to look very likely. As for features, there could be a chance that whoever will build the Nexus 5 will work with Nikon when it comes to its camera. If this is true then this could be one of the biggest selling points of the rumored handset. As for the Nexus 5 release date, if the handset does exist then we expect to see it around November, which is when its predecessor was first released. When it comes to the Motorola X Phone, or Google X Phone as som! e people call it, this should be the device that will pack a punch in terms of features and specs, as this needs to be a high-end flagship model from Motorola, one that could start a new range of smartphones. The X Phone looks set to also get a decent front and rear camera, as well as a long-lasting battery. However, it’s rumors of monster storage that has us interested, as this is an area where we know the Nexus 5 may slip a little. The X Phone could also be a tough phone , which we already discussed, although rumors of a flexible display do seem a little exaggerated. Other specs could include a 5-inch screen and an eight-core processor, which seems very likely. Out of the Nexus 5 and the X Phone, which will pack the best features? The smart money would be to say the latter, as Google needs to give X Phone their full support, although they cannot forget about Nexus either.
