CNews KARACHI: Holders Sri Lanka beat India by 100 runs in the final of Asia Cup at National Stadium Karachi on Sunday.Earlier Sri Lanka set 274 runs target for India to win the match. Veteran Sri Lankan opener Jaysuriya made 125 runs in 114 balls. Lankan middle order batsman Dilshan contributed 56 runs in the innings to guide Sri Lanka to set a fighting target at flat pitch of the National Stadium. R.P. Singh and Ishant Sharma grabbed three wickets each for India, while Irfan Pathan took two wickets. No Indian batsmen was able to face the bowling attack of Sri Lanka as Mendis grabbed six wickets for the champions. Indian team was all out at 173 runs with exact 100 runs behind the Sri Lankan target.
