AMagazine ISLAMABAD: A spate of rains had overtaken most parts of the country whereas current rain spell in Sindh and Balochistan would likely end by tomorrow. According to Met office, spell of rains hit large parts of the country and Azad Kashmir. Rain recorded in various cities during 24 hours was 3 mm in Lahore, 15 mm in Multan, 11mm in Sahiwal, 26 mm in Bahawalpur, 36 mm in Rahim Yar Khab, 10 mm in Dera Ghazi Khan. 10 mm in Peshawar, 27 mm in Chitral, 39 mm in Dair, one mm in Muzaffarabad, 13 mm in Pattan, 10 mm in Karaci, 8 mm in Larkana, 6 mm in Badin and one mm in Quetta.

CNews LAHORE: Heavy downpour broken 28-year record with 168 mm rainfall in Lahore.The rain lashed provincial metropolis on second consecutive day on Tuesday inundating low lying areas and turning thoroughfares into rivulets even in some posh localities. The cloud burst started at about 10.30 am and torrential rain continued for over two hours followed by drizzling which continued till 4,00 pm with met office forecasting more rainduring next 24 hours . Local met office recorded 168 mm rain at the airport and 32 mm in the city. The most affected areas included Data Nagar,Sandah,Dev Samaj road, Chungi Amer Sadhu,Main Bazar Ferozepur road, Kot Lakhpat,Nisbat Road,Ichra, Shah Kamal,Garhi Shahu,Wasanpura, Purani Anarkali Mozang, Waris road, some areas of AllamaIqbal Town,Wahdat Colony,Misri Shah,New Chauburji, Baghanpura and Mughalpura Water entered into houses in some areas including various localities along Wahdat road while breach in left bank of SatuKatla drain ,near Model Town Q-Blaock ...

Cnews ISLAMABAD: River Kabul is in medium floods whereas River Ravi is in low floods, metrological department said. According to met office, River Kabul is in medium flood at Naushera whereas as low flooding is observed in River Ravi at Baloki. The flow of other rivers is normal.  A monsoon system has entered into Punjab and Kashmir from Arabian Ocean.  The rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Islamabad 106 mm, Kamra 85, Risalpur 53, Shinkiari 46, Naushera 45, Sialkot 49, Dir 34 and Attock 24 mm.
