CNews World KOHAT: A loud explosion took place in front of the main entrance of Saddar police station Thursday morning. According to initial reports, several persons received injures due to the explosion. The blast badly damaged the building of the police station; however the nature of the blast is not clear as yet. Several injured have been transferred to hospital in many ambulances, eyewitnesses confirmed.

Awaz Apni ISLAMABAD: A strong earthquake shook various areas in Pakistan early Monday, sending people running from their homes.However, there were no immediate reports of any casualties or major damage.The cities jolted were Islamabad, Swat, Chitral, Gilgit, Bonair, Peshawar,Abbotabad, Kohat, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Mirpur, Batgram, Hangu, Kurk and Azad Kashmir.The epic centre of the earthquake was Hindu Kush mountain range, according to the Meotrological department.The Met Office said that the intensity of the tremors was registered 5.7 on Richter scale.According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake shockwaves were felt at 4-13 in the early morning on Monday.

Awaz Apni ISLAMABAD: A strong earthquake jolted upper parts of Pakistan early Monday.According to sources, the quake magnitude was reported 5.7 on Richter scale while its epicenter was in the remote Hindu Kush mountain range.Tremors were felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Gilgit, Buner, Lahore, Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Abbotabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Batgram, Kohat, Hangu and Karak.Meanwhile, people in panic have come out of their homes. However, there were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage.

CNews KOHAT: The death toll in Darra Adamkhel suicide attack reached 40, while 35 persons were wounded in the incident. According to official sources notables from five clans of Darra Adamkhel held a Jirga in Zarghon Khel. The suicide bomber struck the assembly immediately after the meeting was ended, killing 30 persons immediately, while 10 critically wounded were succumbed to their injuries at hospitals. Fifteen critically wounded persons have been transferred to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, while remaining were shifted to other hospitals of Kohat and Peshawar. A losing independent candidate of the recent elections Noor Zaman Afridi was also killed in the attack, while father of Senator Razzaq was wounded in the bombing. CNews KOHAT: Six have been destroyed when a bomb blast ripped into a music center in Gambat area of Kohat but no causality was reported. Police sources said that a powerful blast occurred in Salim Khan market that destroyed six shops completely. However, no loss of life was reported. Gambat Police station had registered the case against unknown persons.
