CNews ISLAMABAD: The 10-Member Bench of the Supreme Court hearing the petitions against the approval of the nomination papers of President General Pervez Musharraf in the presidential election has further been enlarged with the addition of one more Member.
The 10-member Bench headed by Justice Javed Iqbal was hearing the constitutional petitions against President Musharraf’s nomination.
One Member of the Bench Justice Nasirul Mulk had gone on leave and, thereafter, the CJP has deputed Justice Javed Buttar and Justice Chaudhry Ijaz as Members of this Bench, thus making the total strength of this Bench to 11, which would hear this case on October 17.
The Supreme Court has already ordered for the withholding of the notification of the results of the presidential election held on October 6.
