CNews ISLAMABAD: The police have registered a case of Quaidabad blast under Anti-Terrorist Act against the unidentified miscreants for causing carnage in the industrial area of Landhi.The blast occurred in Karachi industrial area of Quaidabad near a crossing in Landhi Town killing eleven and injuring over 50 people, according to the local media. The case of Landhi blast has been registered under Anti-Terrorist Act PPC Clause 33, 427, 324, 302, ¾ with SHO Inspector Huzoor Bux Solangi as complainant."The death toll has risen to 10, and there are about 50injured people," Akhtar Zamin, Sindh home minister said. "This is the work of people who want to destabilise the country going towards holding of peaceful elections," Zamin said.The bomb disposal squad said that the one and half kilo heavy bomb was indigenously made nails and ball bearings used in it. The culprits used time device for blast.Another injured Jamil s/o Abdus Sattar 16, who was a resident of Quaidabad Muzzaffarabad Colony, succumbed to injuries and passed away raising the death toll in Karachi blast to eleven.The four dead bodies have been sent to Swabi and two others to Swat; two others were buried in Karachi. One dead body will be buried tomorrow.

July 05: A Pakistani Scientist in Britain has invented a new chemical for processing plastic (polythene) bags which has the quality of dissolution after its use in 105 days.A manufacturing unit for these plastic bags was being set up in Turkey while interest has been shown in the setting up of a big unit and manufacturing firm’s head quarter in Karachi which will be used to supply such dissolvable polythene bags to Asian countries. The Director of UK based firm Bio Plast Biodegradable Plastics GL Punn while leading a 15 member delegation called on EDO Municipal Services City Government Masood Alam. The Executive Director of Bio Plast Pakistan Muhammad Hanif Awan and M. Sultan Mehmood Awan was also present on this occasion.
