Justice Jamali takes oath as CJ of Sindh High Court

CNews KARACHI: Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali, took oath as new Chief Justice of High Court of Sindh here Wednesday. Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan administered the oath at an impressive ceremony held at Governor House. Earlier Acting Chief Justice Azizullah Memon took oath from Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali as Judge of the High Court of Sindh. Later Chief Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali took oath from newly appointed Judges namely Justice Khilji Araf Hussain, Justice Anwar Hani Muslim, Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. Newly appointed Additional Judges namely Justice Zafar Ahmed Sherwani, Justice Salman Ansari and Justice A. Rasheed Kalwar were also administered oath by the Chief Justice. On the occasion Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman read out an order of the President of Pakistan regarding appointment of the judges. The oath taking ceremony was attended, among others, by Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Speaker of Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, provincial Ministers, Judges of the High Court and senior officials.
