Zardari urges Nawaz to return to coalition

CNews ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari Monday said he is hopeful to be successful in the presidential election and become the next president of Pakistan.
Talking to a local news channel, Zardari urged PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif to again return to the coalition for the sake of democracy and Pakistan, adding he is very sorry for the collapse of the coalition. He maintained that he, in concert with Nawaz Sharif, defeated the dictator of the time.Commenting on judges restoration, Zardari said ten judges are ready to come back to office and he asked Nawaz to allow them to do it, adding all the judges would soon be restored. It would be a new ordeal to go ahead without Nawaz Sharif, he said adding serious effort needed to be made to keep democracy from falling in Pakistan.Zardari added there is no getting away from the fact of signing the pact.‘We, even today, want Nawaz to come along with us and he was hurt, I request him to forgive us,’ he observed.

In Depth: Could robots be the writers of the future?

CNETAnalysis: It might be concerned with aliens, outer space and dimensional jumping for now, but ‘sci-fi’ might have to be redefined if the latest advances in automated writing continue apace. Software that can construct sentences, analyse data and even put a ‘spin’ on a news story are threatening to make the newsdesk and the author’s writing room very different places. The end for journalists? Journalism isn’t complicated. The popularity of online news stories can be tracked – and therefore the importance of news easily ranked – while almost everything is written using the inverted pyramid structure . Since automated writing software can already do most of that, are we looking at the last generation of human journalists? Narrative Science’s Quill is the leading automated writing software title. It transforms structured data into readable, plain English stories that are identical to those written by humans, ...
