Windows 7 has been released to the public, on 5th of May. The Downloadable version will be valid till January 2010, which is exactly when the Box copy of this new Version of Windows will be released to the Public.
Since the beta version was released, hundreds of testers from UK had tested it. They all came back with almost the same suggestions, 'I want it to be faster.' Amongst speed, contry specific wallpapers and screensavers were also common suggestions.
Windows 7 Features
• There will be a OSX-like dock, though how OS X-like is yet to be seen.
• Multi-touch gestures in photogalleries like two-finger zoom, flicking, and panning. Think of the photo app on the Microsoft Surface table.
• Multi-touch paint program where you can draw with 10 fingers (again, think of what you've already seen in Surface)
• Multi-touch piano app
• In-depth mapping application that pulls from Microsoft's Live Maps and Microsoft Virtual Earth
These features that are avilable are only demo versions, but full version will be available when teh box version comes out, which is in another 18 months.
