Perfecto Mobile to present its Android applications testing services at Droidcon London 2009

Perfecto Mobile will participate in the Droidcamp and the Droidcon 2009, taking place in London on the 1st and 2nd of December – This gathering is UK's first community event for Android developers.

Dan Shoshani, VP Marketing, will demonstrate Perfecto Mobile’s Droid Cloud Service. This web-based service enables mobile application developers and content providers from all over the world to remotely control, over the web, a multitude of real Android based devices and to run automated test procedures on such.

The Perfecto Mobile's Droid Cloud Service enables access to over a dozen of the latest and most popular Google Android based mobile devices, such as the Motorola Droid, HTC Tattoo, Motorola Dext and the Motorola CLIQ.

Perfecto Mobile significantly reduces time-to-market and the cost and logistical effort needed to develop, test, deploy, and monitor new mobile services.

This two days event follows the concept of the world's first Droidcamp/Droidcon event, which took place in Berlin on 3rd and 4th November. Similar to the event in Germany, the first day will be a so called Barcamp – The Droidcamp – on which developers and other members of the Android community can exchange their knowledge and experience. This interactive event is a great opportunity for networking. The second day will be the actual conference, called Droidcon, for which we expect some interesting lectures.

The goal of this two days event is  to provide the Android developers with  an opportunity to get together in an informal environment where they can share ideas, demonstrate new apps, share their experience and get the chance to talk to experts of the industry.

In Depth: Could robots be the writers of the future?

CNETAnalysis: It might be concerned with aliens, outer space and dimensional jumping for now, but ‘sci-fi’ might have to be redefined if the latest advances in automated writing continue apace. Software that can construct sentences, analyse data and even put a ‘spin’ on a news story are threatening to make the newsdesk and the author’s writing room very different places. The end for journalists? Journalism isn’t complicated. The popularity of online news stories can be tracked – and therefore the importance of news easily ranked – while almost everything is written using the inverted pyramid structure . Since automated writing software can already do most of that, are we looking at the last generation of human journalists? Narrative Science’s Quill is the leading automated writing software title. It transforms structured data into readable, plain English stories that are identical to those written by humans, ...
