Pakistan clinch rare victory against Australia Awaz Apni HEADINGLEY: Pakistan at last tasted victory by defeating Australia after 15 years at Headingley on Saturday.

In a nail biting finish, Pakistan managed to grab a historic win after loosing seven wickets.

Defeat in each of their last 13 Tests against Australia, including the recent debacle at Sydney in which a first-innings lead of 206 proved insufficient to secure victory, Pakistan managed to grab historic win against Aussies.

BRIEF PROFILE OF DR. IMRAN FAROOQ (1960-2010) Dr. Imran Farooq, Convener of the MQM was born in Karachi in 1960. He belonged to a respectable family. He was a student of Sindh Medical College and began his political career with the All Pakistan Mohajir Students' Organization (APMSO), and appointed as its first Secretary General in 1978.
