'An engineer in Cornwall delivered his baby son after watching an instructional video on YouTube' as reported by BBC on May 2nd Marc Stephens watched the videos as a precaution, when his wife started to feel some discomfort. Marc soon realised that he would not be able to get his wife to the hospital on time, and so Googled 'How to Deliver a baby.' He then used the youtube video from the search results to deliver the baby. During an interview with Marc, he said, "I Googled how to deliver a baby, watched a few videos and basically swotted up." Marc had been watching other videos about birth a few hours prior to actual conception. He said "The videos gave me peace of mind. I think I would have coped, but watching videos made things much easier." The Delivery took place without any complications, and soon after birth, both child and mother was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.
