CNews ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has taken serious notice of power shortage and subsequent loadshedding in the country and in this regard called urgent meeting today (Monday). To get briefing on the current power situation and for considering measures for providing immediate relief to the people, the Prime Minister has called an urgent meeting at the PM's House. Federal Minister for Water and Power and heads of concerned departments and organizations would brief the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister said that in line with the vision of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, the government is committed to redress the grievances of the people and would take effective measures on war footing for meeting energy shortage in the country.

CNews ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has called a special meeting of party leaders to discuss president’s likely resignation and draft of president impeachment in Islamabad today.The PML-N meeting will give direction to its future course of action. Sources told CNews News correspondent Irfan Nazir that Nawaz Sharif will hold the meeting at 1:00pm today, which will be attended by Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Javed Hashmi and Ch Nisar Ali Khan.Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also arrived from Murree House to Islamabad to attend the meeting.Nawaz Sharif doesn’t want safe exit for President Musharraf while PPP has different point of view in this regard. Sources said that Nawaz Sharif could be nominated as a presidential candidate in the meeting. Immediate restoration of deposed judges will also come under discussion.
