BNewsworld KARACHI: Two powerful explosions and firing were heard near the Pakistan Air force (PAF) Museumjavascript:void(0), BNewsworld reported Sunday night. Eyewitnesses informed BNewsworld that two blasts were heard at about 10:35pm. Sources said that 10 to 15 terrorists are still in PNS Mehran where exchange of firing between terrorists and law enforcement agencies continue. Police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies rushed and cordoned off the area soon after the blasts and firing. Rescue teams including Edhi and Chhipa ambulances have entered PAF Faisal Base. The CPLC Chief Ahmed Chinoy said that the situation was not clear yet. Ahmed requested people to take alternative routes as rush on the roads have disturbed rescue teams to reach on the spot. Breaking News KARACHI: At least 15 persons have been reported hurt in a small scale blast in the University of Karachi on Tuesday. According to SSP Naeem Sheikh it was a parcel bomb. Heavy contingents of police and rangers with rescue teams rushed to the scene and started to move the injured to the hospitals. Awaz Apni KARACHI: Unknown gunmen opened fire at Yaum-e-Ali procession near Empress Market in Karachi on Wednesday, leaving several people injured. According to reports, unknown assailants ambushed the procession from the top of a building located near Empress Market. Meanwhile, heavy contingent of rangers and police rushed to the scene to control the situation. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. Three to four persons carrying automated weapons attacked the procession from the top of a two-storey building. Hussain said that law enforcement agencies are trying to control the angry participants of the procession. Six suspects have been arrested by the security agencies from the site of the attack. KARACHI: At least 35 people were killed and several others wounded in separate incidents of violence in Karachi, SAMAA reported. Tension gripped the city when media started airing news reports about the assassination of MQM MPA Raza Haider in a drive-by shooting in Nazimabad. Later, violence erupted in the city, killing at least 29 people, out of which 13 dead bodies were brought to Jinnah Hospital. Sixteen bodies were rushed to different hospitals. In addition, three dozens of vehicles, including passenger buses, were torched and attacked in different areas of the metropolis. Sher Rehman, 40, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Gulistan-e-Johar. Awaz Apni KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement will observe a three-day mourning against the killing of party’s MPA Raza Haider in Karachi. Haider was killed in a drive-by shooting in North Nazimabad area of Karachi on Monday evening. A guard and an MQM activist were also killed in the ambush. In a statement issued from London, MQM chief Altaf Hussain termed as ‘shocking’ the assassination of party’s lawmaker Raza Haider. Hussain said his heart was shedding tears of blood at the martyrdom of Raza Haider. He also expressed grief over death of Haider’s guard and a party’s activist in the ambush. Hussain also paid a tribute to the martyred leaders, calling him a true activist, who stood by the part in every thick and thin.

The incident sent a wave of fear and panic across the metropolis, as shopkeepers pulled down their shutters in view of any violent reaction by enraged people. Reports of traffic jam have been reported on main roads and streets across city.

Unknown armed motorcyclists fired shots on Raza Haider as well as his guard when he was preparing to attend a funeral prayer at Jamia Masjid of Nazimabad Block No.2.   Raza Haider, who received a bullet in his head died when he was being rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
