Restaurant where blast happened A woman is among the dead from the blast at an Italian restaurant. At least 20 people have been injured. The restaurant involved, Luna Caprese, is popular with foreign diplomats, aid agency workers and journalists. Fire engines and police arrived at the scene after the explosion was heard across Islamabad.

CNews At least two people are feared to have been killed and 10 others wounded in an explosion at a restaurant in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. CNews TV said a foreign woman was one of the dead in the explosion at about 8.40pm (0340 GMT) on Saturday night. The cause of the blast at the Luna Caprese in the city centre is not known.A police officer said: "At least 10 people have been injured and one wall of the restaurant has partly collapsed. We don't know whether it was caused by a bomb." He said that most of the casualties were foreigners. CNews reported that many people were badly injured in the blast at the Italian restaurant popular with foreigners, diplomats, aid agency workers and journalists. An employee told one news agency: "There are lots of injured people who have lost their limbs and legs. "It's a very bad situation. We don't know what has happened."

The blast occurred at the Luna Caprese Italian restaurant in central Islamabad, police official Mohammad Ishtiaq told the CNews. "One wall of the restaurant has partly collapsed and many people have been injured," he said. Local media reported that two people were feared dead at the restaurant, which is popular with foreigners. "It's a very bad situation," an employee at Luna Caprese told the CNews. "There are lots of injured people who have lost their limbs and legs," the employee said.

"There was an explosion inside the Luna Caprese Italian restaurant in the centre of the capital," police official Mohammad Ishtiaq told CNews. "Two killed and more than 10 people have been injured and one wall of the restaurant has partly collapsed." An CNews photographer at the scene said several of the injured who were stretchered out of the restaurant were foreigners. Eyewitnesses also confirmed casualties. "There are lots of injured people who have lost their limbs and legs, foreigners were inside. It's a very bad situation. We don't know what has happened," an employee at the restaurant told CNews by telephone. "It was a very powerful blast. There is a lot of blood here, the walls are splattered with it. I see lots of human flesh," the employee said.

CNews ISLAMABAD: A foreign woman has died and over 15 others have been injured in Islamabad blast on Saturday evening, the sources said. The officials has confirmed the death of the foreign woman. The majority of injured is reportedly foreigners, the sources added. The blast occurred in the backside of an Italian restaurant “ Luna Caprese” near Super market, the sources said. Over 15 injured including foreigners have been shifted to hospitals. Nature of the blast, which happened at about 8:50PM is yet to be ascertained.
