CNews ISLAMABAD: The ministry of law and justice has moved a summary to foreign ministry seeking the United Nations probe into assassination of former prime minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi told media on Wednesday. CNews Islamabad:Pakistan's foreign ministry said on Thursday it had lodged a strong protest with Nato and Afghan forces after a chaotic border battle spilled into Pakistani territory, leaving a soldier dead. The incident happened when Nato-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Afghan troops clashed with Taliban militants on the porous frontier between the two countries on Wednesday. Afghan and ISAF troops then pounded the Pakistani side with shells and also made an incursion into the Bajaur tribal region, during which one soldier was killed and another injured, the ministry said. CNews Australia: fears Pakistan's missile testing could provoke instability in the region, Foreign Minister Stephen Smith says. Pakistan's military on Saturday said it test fired a nuclear-capable ballistic missile with a range of 2,000km. Mr Smith on Sunday said Australian officials had not confirmed the test but are assuming it happened. "Any testing which occurs within that region does have the potential to cause tension or instability," he told Network Ten. Mr Smith said nuclear rivals Pakistan and India had in recent years been having good talks about such issues. "We certainly hope that dialogue continues," he said. "We of course would prefer that the testing didn't occur but we certainly hope that it doesn't lead to any tension or instability in the region."

CNews Pakistan: said on Saturday that it is in touch with the mediators for the release of its ambassador to Afghanistan Tariq Azizuddin, who was kidnapped in the Pakistani tribal region in February while proceeding to Kabul.The ambassador Tariq Azizuddin appeared on Arabic television on Saturday saying he was being held by the Taliban and urged the government to accept their demands. "We are in touch with the mediators to free the ambassador," Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said."We can not disclose demands of kidnappers for safety reasons," the spokesman told a private TV channel.
