CNews BEIJING: Pakistan achieved its second victory in the men’s field hockey at the Beijing Olympics 2008 when it defeated South Africa 3-1 on Sunday.The national team began the game with aggression and succeeded in making breakthrough in the ninth minute when Mohammad Zubair netted a goal but Austin Smith of South Africa equaled the score by the end of the first half.However, Pakistan dominated the second half by playing brilliantly as Shakeel Abbasi made goal in the 41st minute to get Pakistan the 2-1 lead which was further consolidated through a goal from Mohammad Saqlain in the 60th minute.Pakistan has now earned six points after this win. It has earlier beat Canada while was beaten by Great Britain and Australia.Now Pakistan will play its last pool match against Holland on August 19.
