Dozens of militants attacked the homes of two tribal elders, killing six people in Mohmand Agency, officials said Monday. The attack in Ziarat Masood village of the district came a day after Pakistani war planes bombed a militant stronghold in the region. “A group of militants attacked houses of Malik Ghazi Khan and Malik Ghulab Khan, who were also members of a local peace committee, killing six people and wounding four others,” local administration official Zabit Khan told CNewsworld. At least four people have been killed in a drone strike in South Waziristan on Sunday. As per the reports reaching here, an unmanned US aircraft fired four missiles at a house in Sararogha area of Shaktoi. It merits to mention that Shaktoi is the native place of late militants leader Baitullah Mehsud. The missiles targeted the compound in Dwasarak village, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Wana, the main town in South Waziristan district, a senior Pakistani security official who wished to remain anonymous told media. "At least 18 militants have been killed in this attack," he said adding that two US drones fired four missiles. Two intelligence officials, one in Wana and one based in Peshawar, also confirmed the attack and the death toll.
