Telephone lines of 90 cut off: MQM

Spokesperson of MQM Anis Advocate has alleged government has cut their centre’s phone lines. An emergency meeting has been called to discuss the situation. MQM leader Mustafa Azizabadi has said while talking to CNewsworld that government was resorting to negative tactics. If any untoward incident takes place, only government will be responsible, he warned. Anis Advocate also alleged Sindh Senior Minister Zulfiqar mirza has meet Afaq Ahmed and during the meeting they planned to take over MQM’s main office. He further alleged efforts were on for Afaq Ahmed’s release from the jail. 

Nine Zero ‘s Telephone lines disconnected

All telephone lines of Nine Zero, headquarter of MQM, have been disconnected on late Sunday, CNewsworld reported.According to Cnewsworld , MQM leader ,Wasay Jalil confirmed the news and condemned the move . On the other hand, CM Sindh Qaim Ali shah said that PPP would continue its reconciliation politics . He further said that commissionerate system was promulgated in pursuance of people desire.

ALTAF HUSSAIN CONDEMNS BOMB BLAST IN ISLAMABAD

CNews London:MQM Founder & Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the bomb explosion in Islamabad today causing the loss of valuable and innocent lives as a result. Terming this as an act of terrorism, Mr Hussain said that this is a cowardly, inhuman and barbaric act, which was planned to spread terrorism and to challenge the writ of Government. He has demanded of the President, Prime Minister and the Federal Interior Minister to take firm action to arrest those responsible and to punish them accordingly. Mr Hussain also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family members of those who lost their lives and prayed for the early recovery of those injured as a result. He prayed to Almighty Allah place the souls of the dead in Jannat-ul-Firdous and grant strength to the family members to endure the tragedy.

MQM calls for measures to maintain tranquility in metropolis

Zardari, Altaf urge national reconciliation for country’s stability

No US, British diplomats contacted MQM: Dr Imran

CNews LONDON: Dr Imran Farooq, the convener of the Central Co-ordination Committee of uttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has categorically denied the report published in a UK newspaper and a section of Pakistani press stating that MQM had been advised by British and American diplomats to show restraint when PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto returns to Karachi. According to a press release issued Wednesday, Dr. Imran Farooq said that no contact was made with MQM by American and British diplomats in this regard and the published report is totally baseless. 19 MQM workers burnt alive in fire in Karachi

KARACHI: MQM’s 19 workers were burnt in two incidents of fire in firecrackers in the areas of Karachi – Korangi and Lyari. Four of them are in critical condition. MQM leader Altaf Hussain has expressed deep sorrow over these tragic incidents. According to a press release issued from the MQM in Karachi, a great rally was organized by the MQM in Korangi to celebrate the victory of President Pervez Musharaff’s success in the presidential election. During the rally, the party workers were riding in various vehicles when the firecrackers’ material suddenly caught fire and 15 activists of the MQM Korangi Sector, Unit 77 wereburnt alive. They were immediately taken to hospital. In another incident four party workers of Lyari Sector Unit 33, coming from Lyari to 90, were burnt alive.
