General Electic has recently unveiled the new optical storage disc. A disc that can store upto 500 gigabytes (GB) of data, equivalent to 100 DVDs. The micro-holographic disc, is the same size as an existing DVD disc. The company believe that it will be able to be used in consumer market place and in home players. Blue Ray dics, which are currently being used, can only hold maximum of 50GB. This new disc could revolutionize media as we know it.
