CNews FAISALABAD: Two persons were killed and 15 wounded when a bus overturned near Faisalabad on Thursday, police said. A speedy bus traveling from Sangla Hill to Faisalabad was upturned near Chak Jhumra railway station while anticipating a sharp turn, police said. Two passengers of the bus were killed in the accident on the spot, while 15 were injured and transferred to nearby hospital. Police has registered case against the bus driver who was also wounded in the mishap.

CNews BANNU: Five FC officials, who were kidnapped in North Waziristan, have reached Bannu after being released.According to sources, the five FC officials were released unconditionally from North Waziristan. They reached Bannu where they met DG-FC Abdul Nawaz and later, they went to their homes.The names of the released FC soldiers are: Noor Khannan, Dost Ali, Muzaffar Khan, Waheed Bahadur and Risal Rehman.In all, 22 FC officials were kidnapped on October 2 from Arocha check-post in North Waziristan.

CNews MIRANSHAH: Around 50 Pakistani soldiers are missing after gunbattles with Islamic militants in a troubled tribal area that have already claimed 80 lives since the weekend, the army said Monday. The soldiers have been out of radio contact since the morning in rugged North Waziristan, a region bordering Afghanistan where the United States says Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network and the Taliban are regrouping. News of the missing soldiers comes as a fresh blow to the army, with militants already holding more than 200 Pakistani soldiers in another part of the insurgency-plagued ethnic Pashtun tribal belt. Violence has spiked in the troubled region since Pakistani security forces besieged and then raided the Al-Qaeda-linked Red Mosque in Islamabad in July -- an operation that Osama bin Laden has urged militants to avenge. GHOTKI: Six persons kidnapped 18 days ago in Ghotki have been recovered. According to SHO Ghotki Abdul Malik Bhutto, six persons were kidnapped 18 days ago near when they were coming from pilgrimage of the temple in Rohrki Sharif, near Tehsil Dharki. He told that after making negotiations with the dacoits in the area of Kaccha, the kidnapped persons have been recovered. They included two children Sham Lal and Ram Lal, Ladomal, Rajesh, Nanak Ram and driver Saeen Dino.
