CNews ISLAMABAD: The Special Draft committee of the ruling coalition on Saturday held it’s meeting to discuss the charge sheet against President Musharraf. The meeting was held in the chamber of Leader of the House in Senate Raza Rabbani. The committee decided to prepare a detailed charge sheet on constitutional irregularities, misuse of power and misconduct of the president. Sherry Rehman, Farooq H. Naek, Mian Raza Rabbani, Farhat ullah Babar and Ahsan Iqbal attended the meeting. PML-N Ishaq Dar could not attend due to some personal reason. The committee further discussed ruling coalition’s strategy for August 11 National Assembly session. Special draft Committee will meet again today to finalize the draft of charge sheet against the president.

CNews LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has said that the process of the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf would kick off in the slated session of the National Assembly current month and the required number of the assembly members for getting the impeachment carried over was with the alliance. Talking to the media on his arrival from Islamabad here, he said that the resolution relating to the impeachment of the President would be presented in the Punjab Assembly on August 11, which would demand from the President to take vote of confidence from the assemblies. Shahbaz Sharif said that the ruling alliance stands firm on the impeachment of President and as regards number games it possessed the majority in assemblies and the alliance would be successful in its objective. Punjab chief minister said that we still stand firm on our previous stance as regards the reinstatement of judges, who would be reinstated immediately after the completion of impeachment process.

CNews ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf Wednesday signed notification, reinstating five regular and three additional judges of Sindh High Court.The summary is being forwarded to Attorney General’s office after the signature, sources said.A summary is also being reviewed for restatement of some of deposed judges of Lahore High Court, sources added.The signature of the notification by the President confirms reports that some of the deposed judges had already accepted the offer of their restoration.

Where are the leaders of the political parties, why are they not calling for calm throught out the country. Pakistani former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has been killed in a presumed suicide attack. News of her death was confirmed by a military spokesman and members of her Pakistan People's Party (PPP). Ms Bhutto had just addressed an election rally in Rawalpindi when gunfire and an explosion occurred. At least 15 other people are reported killed in the attack and several more were injured. Ms Bhutto had twice been the country's prime minister. She had been campaigning ahead of elections due in January. ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf on Friday amended various articles of the Constitution providing protection and continuity to the superior courts judges who took oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO), and removed those who did not take oath under the PCO. However, they would be entitled to pension and other retirement benefits.The amendments were made a day before he intends to lift emergency and restore the Constitution. The president, in exercise of powers under the PCO, has amended Articles 41, 44, 193, 194, 208 and 270-C.Amendment to Article 193 has lowered the age of appointment of high court judges from 45 years to 40 years. This will facilitate entry of judges into high courts at younger age to remain in service for a longer period.
