Awaz Apni ISLAMABAD :  Syed Talat Hussain, the Executive Director news and current affairs of Aaj News and other two Pakistanis, detained by Israel after attack on aid flotilla, have been handed over to Jordanian ambassador to Israel, Aaj News reported. According to details, the Interpol has confirmed that the three Pakistanis have been handed over to Jordanian ambassador to Israel . Jordanian ambassador along with Syed Talat Hussain, Raza Agha and Nadeem Ahmed has left Tel Aviv for King Hussein Bridge Jordan where he will hand over the three Pakistanis to the Pakistani ambassador to Jordan. All the three Pakistanis will be returning to Pakistan on Wednesday, the channel added.

ISLAMABAD :  Executive Director Aaj News Talat Hussain’s wife Tehmina Hussain has said that her husband has fulfilled his duty with courage. While appreciating her husband efforts, Tehmina said that Talat had gone for a cause and now the entire nation is praying for his safe return. She was talking to Aaj News morning show AAJ SUBH. Tehmina thanked the government and media for its efforts and said that the whole nation has stood by her during this hour of need. Raza Hussain’s wife Urooj Agha urged the government to take effective steps for the safe return of all three Pakistani nationals. She said that she would not be satisfied until direct contact is established with her husband.

CNews KARACHI: Seven people including a child have been killed, when a blast occurred here at Gul Ahmed Chowrandi, Quaidabad on Monday evening. TPO Landhi Town, Azad Khan confirmed that explosives strapped to a motor cycle blew up, killing and injuring many. It should be mentioned that the blast site is normally a crowded market place, where people come to shop in large number. At least five dead bodies, including one of a child, have been shifted to Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre. Two dead bodies are said to be present at Social Security Hospital Landhi. CNews TEHRAN: Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, urged Arab nations on Saturday to boycott a Middle East peace meeting in the United States. "The United States took the initiative for this meeting to save the Zionist regime (Israel), which received a beating at the hands of Hezbollah," during the war last year, Khamenei told a crowd of hundreds of thousands at Iran's Grand Mosque. "Every conference that has been organised in the name of peace has harmed the Palestinians," he said, in a speech to mark Iran's celebration of the Eid al-Fitr holiday that follows the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. "As the Palestinians themselves are not participating in this conference, how can the others (Arab states) do so," he asked, as the crowds chanted slogans against America and Israel.

CNews ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has urged the self-exiled former Prime Minister and PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto once again to delay her return to Pakistan "I have sent messages that she should delay her return," the Musharraf said in an interview with a British TV channel. And asked if he would try to prevent her return if she ignored his advice, he said: "No, that is not the case, but I would urge her not to." Benazir Bhutto now feels it is safe to return because Gen Musharraf has passed a so-called National Reconciliation Ordinance dropping corruption charges against her and other politicians. She still faces some risks. The Supreme Court could strike down the ordinance as unconstitutional. There is also the issue of the time period (1986-1999) covered by the ordinance. Some of the allegations against Benazir Bhutto relate to events after 1999. The Pakistani authorities have in the past accused her of involvement in the oil-for-food scandal....

CNews LAHORE: Lahore lawyers held a protest rally against the presidential election on Saturday. Heavy contingents of police were deployed at Mall Road. Large number of policemen, apart of the plain-clothed officials, was posted at Aiwan-e-Adl, Town Hall, GPO Chowk, High Court Chowk, Regal Chowk and outside Punjab Assembly. Police had blocked traffic at various points of Mall Road by putting barriers and barbed wires.

الیکشن کمیشن نے صدارتی انتخابات کے شیڈول کا اعلان کردیا ہے جس کے مطابق صدارتی انتخابات کے لئے کاغذات نامزدگی 27 ستمبر کو وصول کئے جائیں گے اور 29 ستمبر کو کاغذات نامزدگی کی جانچ پڑتال کی جائے گی اور صدارتی انتخاب 6۔اکتوبر کو ہوگا۔اس کا ایک مطلب یہ بھی ہے کہ صدر انہی اسمبلیوں سے ووٹ لیں گے۔ اس پر اپوزیشن جماعتوں نے تحفظات کا اظہار کیا ہے ۔دوسرا اہم پہلو یہ ہے کہ اس وقت سپریم کورٹ میں صدر کے دو عہدے رکھنے کے خلاف مقدمہ زیر سماعت ہے۔اسی مقدمے کی سماعت کے دوران گزشتہ روز سرکاری وکیل نے ایک بیان عدالت میں جمع کرایا تھا جس میں کہا گیا تھا کہ صدر الیکشن کے بعد فوجی عہدہ چھوڑ دیں گے۔ اس بیان پر بھی اپوزیشن رہنما خاصے سیخ پا ہوئے تھے ۔ صدارتی الیکشن کا شیڈول کیا جلی پر تیل کا کام کرے گا؟ صدر کے انتخاب کے حوالے سے آپ کے تبصروں ، تجزئیوں اور خیالات کا انتظار ہے۔
