 FAISALABAD: One Jaffar Hussain, hailing from Faisalabad, has claimed that Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan is his younger brother, Geo News reported. Jaffar Hussain resident of Nawanpind, Faisalabad asserted that Amitabh had runaway to Karachi with Amir Badsha, and later to Mumbai at the age of 14, adding that his Islamic name was Subh Sadiq. He said that Amitabh Bachchan was keen to work in movies since childhood. He said his father Abdul Haq was a goldsmith, who had registered a case against Amir Badshah in 1963. Hussain also stated that one of their sisters namely Sardaran Bibi (late) had great affection with Amitabh.

Awaz Apni KARACHI: Unknown gunmen opened fire at Yaum-e-Ali procession near Empress Market in Karachi on Wednesday, leaving several people injured. According to reports, unknown assailants ambushed the procession from the top of a building located near Empress Market. Meanwhile, heavy contingent of rangers and police rushed to the scene to control the situation. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. Three to four persons carrying automated weapons attacked the procession from the top of a two-storey building. Hussain said that law enforcement agencies are trying to control the angry participants of the procession. Six suspects have been arrested by the security agencies from the site of the attack. Awaz Apni SUKKUR: The high flood at the Guddu Barrage inundated dozens of villages in Ghotki, Shikarpur and Kashmore districts on Sunday and the floodwater has hit here to sustain pressure at Qadirpur Lope in Ghotki, Sarhad and Obauro areas of Sukkur division. The Sukkur Barrage is witnessing a highest flood tide with water level 11,15365 cusecs. Flood water entered Goth Sommer Mallah at Jamshed Lope Bund and Ali Wahan. PESHAWAR: A suicide attack at Diljam plaza near FC Chowk in the Saddar area of Peshawar killed FC Commandant Sifwat Ghayoor, brother-in-law of PPP-S leader Aftab Khan Sherpao and cousin of KP Governor Owais Ghani. Four people have been killed, and 10 others injured in the attack. The injured have been taken to Lady Reading Hospital. Three vehicles including one passenger bus have been completely destroyed. According to a report, a suicide bomber targeted an official vehicle on a motorcycle. The suicide bomber’s head has been recovered from the site. KARACHI: At least 35 people were killed and several others wounded in separate incidents of violence in Karachi, SAMAA reported. Tension gripped the city when media started airing news reports about the assassination of MQM MPA Raza Haider in a drive-by shooting in Nazimabad. Later, violence erupted in the city, killing at least 29 people, out of which 13 dead bodies were brought to Jinnah Hospital. Sixteen bodies were rushed to different hospitals. In addition, three dozens of vehicles, including passenger buses, were torched and attacked in different areas of the metropolis. Sher Rehman, 40, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Gulistan-e-Johar.
