پنجاب کے وزیر اعلی شہباز شریف نے پولیس کی موجودگی میں دو سگے بھائیوں کی وحشیانہ ہلاکت میں ملوث مزید ملزموں کو گرفتار کرنے کا حکم دیا ہے۔ اس واقعے میں ملوث چودہ افراد پہلے ہی گرفتار کیے جا چکے ہیں۔ وزیر اعلی نے تحقیقات کے لیے ایک اعلیْ پولیس آفیسر کی سربراہی میں تفتیشی ٹیم بھی تشکیل دی ہے۔ شہباز شریف نے اپنے بھائی اور مسلم لیگ نون کے قائد نواز شریف کے ہمراہ سیالکوٹ میں مقتول بھائیوں کی ہلاکت پر ان کے لواحقین سے تعزیت کی اور وہ ویڈیو فوٹیج بھی دیکھی جس میں دو نوں بھائیوں کو وحشیانہ تشدد کا نشانہ بناتے ہوئے ان کی ہلاکت کے بعد لاشوں کی بے حرمتی دکھائی گئی ہے۔ تعزیت کے بعد شہباز شریف نے صحافیوں کو بتایا کہ انہوں نے اس واقعہ کی تحقیقات کے لیے ایڈیشنل انسپکٹر جنرل سی آئی ڈی مشتاق سکھیرا کی سربراہی میں ایک تحقیقاتی کمیٹی بنا دی ہے جو ایک ہفتے میں اپنی چھان بین مکمل کر کے رپورٹ پیش کرے گی۔ دوسری جانب دو بھائیوں کی ہلاکت کے واقعہ پر علاقے کے لوگوں نے ریسکیو ڈبل ون ڈبل ٹو کی عمارت کے سامنے احتجاج کیا جہاں مقتول بھائیوں کو تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا گیا تھا۔ اس موقع پر مظاہرین نے ریسکیو ڈبل ...

According to met office, River Kabul is in medium flood at Naushera whereas as low flooding is observed in River Ravi at Baloki. The flow of other rivers is normal.  A monsoon system has entered into Punjab and Kashmir from Arabian Ocean.  The rainfall recorded during last 24 hours was Islamabad 106 mm, Kamra 85, Risalpur 53, Shinkiari 46, Naushera 45, Sialkot 49, Dir 34 and Attock 24 mm.

CNews ISLAMABAD: Polling continued for general elections on Monday as 10 persons were killed and several injured in incidents of violence.The polling process in most of the constituencies continued peacefully as incidents of violence reported in several areas, which claimed 10 lives including a union council nazim and a woman. The woman was killed in exchange of fire between political workers in Gujrat, while a union council nazim was killed in firing in Toba Tek Singh. The polling was suspended after killing of an activist of Muslim League (N) in NA-112 of Sialkot.
