CNews LAHORE: Punjab Governor Salman Taseer on directives of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani called on the Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi here, sources said. The two leaders discussed presidential election, future of the Punjab government and other matters of mutual interest, sources further said. The two leaders also talked over the name of Hamid Nasir Chattha as the new chief minister of Punjab, the sources added.

CNews RAWALPINDI: President Pervez Musharraf has held an important meeting with Ch. Shujaat Hussain, Pervaiz Elahi and Hamid Nasir Chatha in which he gave the indication to foil the impeachment move.According to sources, the president said it was government’s democratic right to present the impeachment bill while its defence was his right. He vowed to foil any move to sideline him.
