Wateen’s broadband customers have been suffering for the last two weeks as its service severely disrupted in the major cities of Punjab. Frequent disruption was reported in connectivity and browsing in some parts of northern and central Punjab including federal capital Islamabad whereas service is entirely dead in some cities. The largest Wimax operators might have been facing some technical problem or engaged in its operations that have paralyzed not only its network but hundreds of commercial and home users of the internet. Sarfraz Ahmed, one of the customers said that his internet services have been dead for more than one week since he was asked to get MAC Binding. The customer service representative requested him to get MAC Binding of the connection in order to get register his identity on the network, however, his connection was completely ceased after that.
