3D Touch Is Apple’s New Secret Weapon

Awaz Apni: I’m here to praise Apple again. Sorry. I have to do it. It’s not in my contract nor am I paid to do it – imagine if we were! We’d be rich! – but after manhandling the iPhone 6S Plus it’s abundantly clear that Apple has discovered another breakthrough. And they are surprisingly nonchalant about it. Apple’s first interface breakthrough happened when it unleashed real multitouch on the world. Until the original iPhone, screens reacted to one single point and often required a stylus to operate. There were exceptions, but even after the iPhone launched competitors couldn’t keep up and had to release resistive screen phones until they could join in the multi-touch game. This next interface trick is far more subtle. By sensing pressure applied on the surface of the Apple Watch, the new MacBook trackpad, and the new iPhones, Apple has added a new layer to the touchscreen experience. In short, they have gone deep, allowing us to move past surfaces and into more dyn...

iPod touch 5G extreme visual review

Awaz Apni: This week will see early adopters receive their new iPod touch 5th generation, which were shipped last week, so these users and others might be wondering how good it’s going to be? If you’re not hands-on yet with the iPod touch 5G then you should see the two videos below on this page, which include a full review for almost 17 minutes and also an extreme drop/scratch test. The first video features the iPod touch 5G review and takes a look at almost every aspect of the new portable media player, which includes highlighting the external design first and focusing on what different parts do. The display is obviously pretty similar to the iPhone 5 at first glance, although on the iPod touch 5G you’ll see some notable differences to the design and feel. Apple’s refresh for the iPod touch delivers a small, thin, and light device but allows for the slightly bigger display. You’ll see a black area at the top of the iPod touch 5G back, which is for your antenna window ...

iPhone 3G S, The Secret 1 Month Contract!!!

We're going to tell you how to get a significantly better deal on an iPhone 3G S , without tying youself down to any more than a one-month O2 contract if you don't want to. And you get hundreds of extra texts and minutes, too. First, some background. The outrage over the new model's sky-high prices prompted many of you to vehemently berate O2 and Apple in the comments of our stories yesterday. For the shortest contract term of 18 months, and on the lowest-cost contract of £29.38 per month, the lowest-capacity iPhone 3G S will cost you an enormous £184.98, while the 32GB version will set you back a staggering £274.23. Worse still, for all that, you still only get a pathetic 75 inclusive minutes, and 125 texts each month. No, we're not kidding, and they aren't typos. If you can be persuaded into signing up to a two-year contract, the least you can pay per month is £34.26 -- a total of £822.24 over the length of the contract -- and the 16GB model will still set you...
