Bureau Chief Geo News Islamabad tortured

CNews ISLAMABAD: Geo News bureau chief in Islamabad Absar Alam were brutally tortured at a local hotel here on Friday.Sources told Geo News that dozens of unknown people, being drunk, got them identified as businessmen and at once attacked on Alam on account of different political, social and economical crises.Those culprits were close relatives to the MPA of previous government while federal journalist organizations protested the incident.

Resignations of 44 Punjab MPAs approved

CNews LAHORE: Speaker of Punjab Assembly Thursday approved 44 resignations tendered by the MPAs belonging to APDM parties and issued notification about cancellation of their assembly membership. Total 47 members of Punjab Assembly had submitted their resignations including five government members. The speaker issued notices to three MPAs Akram Gujjar, Khalid Kalyar and Amir Jewel Sahotra asking them to explain their positions regarding the resignations they had given to Rana Sanaullah Khan along with their authority letters.

162 APDM MNAs, MPAs tender resignations

ISLAMABAD: 162 National and provincial assemblies members of All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) have submitted their resignations on Tuesday. However two MPAs from Balochistan and one from Sindh Assembly took back their resignations. Members of APDM belonging from NWFP assembly had postponed their resignations after the no confidence move was moved against CM NWFP Akram Khan Durrani. 86 APDM members of National Assembly presented their resignations to Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain. Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan was the first parliamentarian who tendered resignation. After him other APDM leaders submitted their resignations. Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Maulana Fazlur Rehman submitted resignations of MNAs of Majlis-e-Amal to the speaker, while Muslim League-N leader Javed Hashmi presented resignations of the parliamentarians of his party.
