Blast near Ghasmandi in Karachi

KARACHI: More than a dozen people have been killed while 35 sustained injures in a powerful blast that ripped through Rami Club building near Ghaas Mandi area in Lyari locality on Thursday, BNEWS reported. Police and emergency services rushed to the blast site and kick started rescue activities, as death toll is feared to rise further. Bomb disposal squad has also been called in. The rescue sources have put the death toll at fifteen and the injured at 3 in the explosion. Most of the injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital where emergency has been declared, said hospital sources. One of the injured has been rushed to Jinnah Hospital. Over 10 injured people are said to be critical in condition. The Medico Legal Officer (MLO) at Civil Hospital said that more than 12 dead bodies were brought in besides more than 30 injured. According to initial report, the rescue teams rushed to the blast site and started to move the injured to hospital while the police cordoned off the area after reaching on the scene. Some eye witnesses have informed that few motor-bike riders hurled a hand grenade near Rainbow Center and managed to escape. Rainbow Center is located in the busy area of Saddar and it is the largest spot for CDs sales and rentals in the metropolis.

Bomb blast in Karachi University

Breaking News KARACHI: At least 15 persons have been reported hurt in a small scale blast in the University of Karachi on Tuesday. According to SSP Naeem Sheikh it was a parcel bomb. Heavy contingents of police and rangers with rescue teams rushed to the scene and started to move the injured to the hospitals. News Alert Blast in CID building in red zone

 KARACHI: A powerful blast in CID building near PIDC has rocked the buildings in the surrounding area, Geo436 News reported Thursday. The powerful blast brought down the whole building of Central Investigation Department (CID) located in the most sensitive area in the central area of the metropolis. A powerful shock wave released by the blast also shattered windowpanes of a number of surrounding buildings. Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility of the attack. Office of DSP Saddar was also partially damaged as a result of the blast.

Casualties reported in Peshawar Sadar blast

Breaking News PESHAWAR: Several casualties were reported in a powerful blast in Peshawar area of Saddar, CNews News reported Wednesday. The blast occurred at Deens Chowk, a usually crowded commercial spot. Some injured were seen being rescued to the hospital. The fire that engulfed a couple of cars, has been extinguished. The reports said the FC Headquarters is situated near the blast site. The police and other law enforcement agencies approached the area before long and put a security cordon around the blast site. The nature of the blast could not be ascertained at this point in time.

Blast in Sargodha Imambargah; 18 hurt

SARGODHA: More than a dozen people were injured as an explosive went off in Imambargah in heart of the city, CNews reports Sunday. Police said more than 200 people were present in the Imambargah in Block-19 area of the city to offer the Maghrib prayer. The blast is initially said to be a suicide attack. A madrasah and a mosque are also situated near the Imambargah in a busy market and residential area. According to initial reports, rescue teams were sent to the blast site. Score of ambulances thronged to the site and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals. Hospital sources said some 18 people were received injured at district headquarter hospital. Police and security personnel surrounded the Imambargah putting security cordon around it. A number of houses in the area were destroyed and windowpanes of nearby buildings and houses shattered.

1 dead, 18 injured in Sargodha Imam Bargah blast

SARGODHA: One person was killed and 18 others injured in a blast that ripped through an Imam Bargah here in Sargodha block 19, CNews News reported on Sunday. The injured, some of them severely, have been shifted to District Hospital Sargodha and announcements are being made to donate blood for the wounded. Emergency has been declared in city hospitals. Rescue and relief activities have been kick-started at the site of the incident while heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. The blast occurred when preparations were being made for Namaz-e-Maghribain in the Imam Bargah located in a bustling market place. Normally strict security is maintained at the Imam Bargah. But for reasons not known extraordinary security seemed not to have been put in place today.

Mohmand suicide attack toll reaches to 56

Awaz Apni PESHAWAR: The death toll of Mohmand Agency suicide attack has been reached to 56 whereas more than 73 sustained injuries. Sources said a suicide bomber blew up himself outside political agent’s office in tehsil Yeka Ghand on Friday morning. The high intensity blast has damaged nearby buildings and Yeka Ghanda jail premises. Rescue operations stated at the site of the blast and the bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Shab Qadar. Political Agent Amjad Ali Khan told media that 56 people were killed and over 73 wounded in the incident. Four personnel of Khasadar Force are also included among the dead. According to sources, several prisoners have been escaped after the blast that damaged the jail building. Four bodies and 65 injured shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar after giving first aid at Shab Qadar Hospital where emergency has been imposed.

Triple suicide blasts kill 38; injures 174 at Data Darbar: DCO

Awaz Apni LAHORE: Three suicide bombers have killed 38 devotees and wounded another 174 at Data Darbar Shrine here late Thursday night, DCO Lahore Sajjad Bhutta and Commissioner Khushro Pervez told media. 24 among injured devotees are said to be critical in condition, hospital sources said adding that emergency has been put in place in all city hospitals. Two attackers blew themselves up inside the shrine while the third one outside it before hurling hand grenades, he added. Relief and rescue activities are underway at the blasts site. A hand grenade has been found near Wazoo Khana of Shrine while police has cordoned off the area. Lahore: 37 killed in Data Darbar blasts

At least 37 people were killed and over 175 sustained injuries when three blasts occurred in Data Darbar Lahore on Thursday night. According to rescue sources, 175 injured have been shifted to hospitals including Meo Hospital and more than 40 injured are stated to be in critical condition. These injured people are admitted in ICU for immediate operations. A number of women and children are also among the injured. As per AWAZ APNI News correspondent, all three blasts were occurred in the premises of Data Darbar and these blasts might be suicide ones. Rescue teams were reached the sport instantly and started relief activities. Emergency have been declared in the hospitals where the injured are being shifted. It was Friday night, so there was more rush in the Darbar. According to AWAZ APNI News correspondent, at least 15,000 people were gathered in the Darbar fro prayers. Security forces have totally cordoned off the area to avoid any other untoward incident.

37 killed, 175 hurt in Lahore blasts

Awaz Apni LAHORE: At least 25 people have been killed while dozens of others injured in three explosions near Data Darbar late Thursday night, Awaz Apni reported. Rescue teams have reached the scene, initiating the rescue work. The explosions have been occurred just outside the walls of Data Darbar, which have damaged the walls of the shrine. Meanwhile, the security of Bibi Pak Daman has been tightened. A large number of visitors were present at Data Darbar due to Thursday. Public have started chanting anti-government slogans for poor security arrangements. While talking to Awaz Apni, DCO Lahore Sajjad Bhutta termed the attacks as ‘suicidal’.
