CNews LAHORE: At least six people including two children were injured when at least three consecutive explosions occurred in Lahore area of Garhi Shahu on Tuesday evening.All the blasts occurred near Garhi Shahu Bridge in central Lahore.The third blast occurred in the presence of Bomb Disposal Squad harming their vehicle. The rescue teams expressed fear of further blasts as well.The rescue team said the first explosion was a cylinder blast, after which the smoke spread in the whole area.According to an eye-witness, at least six people were injured in the blasts. CNews PESHAWAR: City police here Sunday put security on red-alert in wake of deadly explosion in Islamabad. SSP Operation, Kashif Alam told reporters that security has already been tightened at important government installations, sensitive points and public places. He said that directives have been issued to police officers to further beef up security at hotels, railway stations, bus stops, markets, cinemas, colleges and universities. Ali said that instructions have been issued to police to ask transporters to check luggage of passengers before journeys. The police officer said that close circuit cameras have been installed at important places. He urged people to inform police after seeing any suspicious materials in their surroundings.

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice, Justice Tariq Pervaiz has taken a suo motto notice of the incident of violence against lawyers on the eve of the presidential election. Chief Justice Tariq Pervaiz, taking suo motto notice of the yesterday’s violence perpetrated on the lawyers outside NWFP Assembly, has summoned Peshawar Police Chief, Abdul Majeed Marwat along with the record. The lawyers on the eve of presidential election yesterday were protesting outside the NWFP Assembly, when the police armoured vehicle dashed past the lawyers’ gathering, which resulted in the injury to several lawyers including the PHC Bar President, Abdul Latif Afridi. An FIR of this incident nominating Peshawar SSP and DSP was also got registered in the Police Station (East). Later, the lawyers had torched the armoured vehicle.
