Unknown armed motorcyclists fired shots on Raza Haider as well as his guard when he was preparing to attend a funeral prayer at Jamia Masjid of Nazimabad Block No.2. Raza Haider, who received a bullet in his head died when he was being rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The guard later succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical aid at the hospital.The MQM leader was elected from PS-94 Karachi 6.

HYDERABAD: Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, who got married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza this week, moved the Indian High Court on Thursday for return of his passport. The counsel for Malik requested the judge for hearing on the application but the judge said it can be heard on Friday and posted the matter accordingly. Malik’s passport is in the possession of a local court. Hyderabad Deccan police had taken away Malik’s passport on April 5 and had asked him not to leave the country after a case was registered against him over a complaint from Ayesha Siddiqui who claimed to be Malik’s first wife. After Malik divorced Ayesha, the Siddiqui family submitted an application to Hyderabad Police to withdraw the case against the all-rounder
