Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) expressed his profound sadness and sympathy over the loss of lives in Balochistan resulted due to a massive earthquake. He demanded of the Government to ensure all efforts are made to reach out the victims who shall be indemnified immediately, rehabilitated and medical emergencies are provided. Mr Altaf Hussain also instructed the Central Co-ordination Committee (Rabita Committee) of the MQM to send relief teams immediately to Balochistan and also instructed the Local leaders and office bearers of the MQM in Balochistan to reach out to the victims and help them as well as establish Relief and Medical Camps in collaboration with its Charity Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF). The statement proves that the process of Talibanization is rapidly increasing in Sindh and its capital city of Karachi, Sattar said.“Moulvi Umar has vowed to enforce their brand of Sharia in Karachi,” he said.He said it is an eye-opener for the political parties that had scoffed at the MQM warning. He called the people to foil the conspiracy of Talibanization with their unity.

Cnews KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has strongly condemned the act of suicide by a youth over manhandling by bank staff.According to a statement of MQM Raabta Committee, those who take loans worth billions of rupees get their loans written-off and no action is taken against them. MQM Raabta Committee urged the government to take notice of the suicide and manhandling of youth’s family members by bank recovery staff. It also demanded that private banks be ordered to deal credit borrowers according to law.

KARACHI: MQM’s 19 workers were burnt in two incidents of fire in firecrackers in the areas of Karachi – Korangi and Lyari. Four of them are in critical condition. MQM leader Altaf Hussain has expressed deep sorrow over these tragic incidents. According to a press release issued from the MQM in Karachi, a great rally was organized by the MQM in Korangi to celebrate the victory of President Pervez Musharaff’s success in the presidential election. During the rally, the party workers were riding in various vehicles when the firecrackers’ material suddenly caught fire and 15 activists of the MQM Korangi Sector, Unit 77 wereburnt alive. They were immediately taken to hospital. In another incident four party workers of Lyari Sector Unit 33, coming from Lyari to 90, were burnt alive. On receiving the report, the MQM leaders – Abdul Haseeb, Shoaib Bokhari and MNAs and MPAs visited the affected persons at the Civil Hospital.
