CNews KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-N Sindh President and former Sindh chief minister Justice (Retd) Syed Ghous Ali Shah will arrive in Karachi today. Syed Ghous Ali Shah entered into politics as a student. Later, as a lawyer, he practiced in Khairpur and Karachi. He remained as President of Khairpur Bar Association for long period of time and later became a a judge of Sindh High Court.He was then given portfolio of several ministries in Sindh Government during 1980s and served as a Chief Minister of Sindh during 1985-88. Syed Ghous Ali Shah is considered to be the close ally of Nawaz Sharif, fried of Hakim Ali Zardari and Pir Pigara.During first rule of Nawaz Sharif, he served as a Federal Defence Minister and during 1997 he was given the portfolio of Federal Education Minister.Shah had left the country on October 27, 2001, and has remained in Jeddah in self-imposed exile for eight years.
