Awaz Apni  LAHORE: At least eight people were killed when armed men stormed the emergency ward of Jinnah Hospital, Medical Superintendent said Monday. According to Geo436 correspondent, two gunmen entered the emergency ward and opened indiscriminate fire, killing at least dozen people, and injuring several others. According to Geo436, three to four guards and attendants are among the dead. The firing is still underway while police have cordoned off the area. It may be reminded here that injured of Garhi Shahu and Model Town attacks were under treatment in the Jinnah Hospital.

Awaz Apni LAHORE: Twin blasts in Lahore have injured several people, some of them seriously, at Moon market in Iqbal Town Lahore, Cnews World News reported Monday. Nothing is known so far about the nature of the blasts. According to Cnews World News sources, the two blasts occurred within 30 seconds of each other. The injured are being rushed to nearby hospital in 1122 ambulances. Moon market is a commercial center of Iqbal Town, Lahore, where shoppers are normally present in large numbers. A suicide attack had also occurred in this area on 13 August last year. CNews World LAHORE: Gunshots have been reported at Manawan police training centre in Lahore. According to Apnimauj.com News, unidentified gunmen, wearing Militia uniforms, opened fire at Manawan police training centre Thursday.

Awaz Apni LAHORE: Five blasts occurred in Lahore on Friday, however, no casualties were reported. The fifth blast occurred at Mazang Chungee near Tamaseel Theatre here today. Rescue teams were sent to the site immediately after the blast. The blast damaged a gas pipeline, causing the gas to leak in the area. According to an eye-witness, a man was seen running away after throwing a hand grenade at the site of the blast. Earlier, four blasts occurred in quick succession near Al-falah theatre on Mall Road in Lahore on Friday, however, no loss of life was reported. Two persons were arrested from the blasts site. According to the bomb disposal squad, the blasts could have been caused by RDX or C-3 which only caused minor damage to buildings. However, CCPO Lahore said that the initial investigation indicates that the blasts were carried out by fire-crackers. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif directed the Home Secretary to submit report regarding the blasts in 24 hours.
