CNews KARACHI: In the wake of increasing demand of ghee just two to three days before Eid-ul-Fitr, its manufacturers have jacked up its price following the increasing trend in the international market. Market sources told CNews News that a 16 kilogrammes ghee tin is now available in the retail markets of Karachi at Rs 1,395 for the same weight thus showing an increase of Rs 20 per tin made by manufacturers. Similarly, the price of edible oil tin is now at Rs 1,385 for the same weight with an increase of Rs 25 per tin. They also said that the price of per 40 kg edible oil has reached at record level of Rs.2900.

KARACHI: Ghee mills owners have increased Rs. 10 on 16-kilogram tin of ghee, market sources said.Talking to Geo News the sources said that after this hike the price of 16-kilogram ghee has soared to Rs. 1345/-.The sources said that flour scarcity and high prices still continued in the market. The claims of government and flourmills owners about improvement in supplies and reduction in prices have proved incorrect, they added.
