CNews Lahore: At least five people have died in a suspected bomb blast near a police post in the Pakistani city of Lahore. At least twenty people were hurt in the explosion. It is unclear if the blast was caused by a suicide bomber. The attack comes as Pakistan prepares to celebrate the 61st anniversary of its independence on Thursday. Pakistani security forces are often attacked by Islamist militants allied to the Taleban militia based in the rugged north-west of the country. Twelve militants were killed in a missile strike in north-western Pakistan on Tuesday. Thirteen people also died in the north-western city of Peshawar in a bomb attack on an air force bus on Tuesday. Thursday's attack in Lahore appears to have targeted policemen on guard duty for the Independence Day celebrations. CNews BALUCHISTAN: Two people died while several others were injured in an explosion in Hub area at Sakran Road.According to initial reports loud explosion heard at Sakran road in Hub, Baluchistan, in which two people died while several other were injured.According to the police sources bomb was fitted in a car and was locally made, meanwhile police cordon off the areas and called bomb disposal squad. People injured in the explosion were shifted to near by hospital.

According to sources, exchange of fire resumed late night in different areas of Swat. Unknown persons surrounded police check post in Char Bagh Bazar and targeted it with rockets and automatic weapons. Meanwhile, series of explosions resumed in Kabal and adjoining areas and residents started fleeing from Koza Banda and Barah Banda areas. Security forces targeting miscreants and suspected attackers hideouts but no causality was reported in fresh clashes and blasts so far. According to some reports, firing has been started in Kanju and Pizagat areas of Swat.

CNews New Delhi, Oct 13: Investigators probing the terror attack on the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti have found that the SIM card in the mobile used to trigger Thursday’s explosion was in the same name as that used in Mecca Masjid blasts in Hyderabad in May this year. The SIM card recovered from the mobile phone attached with the unexploded device leads once again to Babu Lal Yadav of Noida whose photograph has been used by militants to purchase the card, sources said. The explosive material, tri-nitro-toluene (TNT) with a little mix of RDX, had been connected to the alarm of the mobile phone. The alarm, which passes a small amount of electric current, would help in charging the explosive material and trigger the blast. The recovery of the SIM card and assembling of the bomb, which had been kept in a tin box with a packing of iron pipes to be used as splinters, were quite similar to that used in the Mecca Masjid blast at Hyderabad in May this year. CNews QALAT: A bomb has been exploded in district Qalat of Balochistan but no causality was reported. Police sources said that unknown persons planted a bomb near a shop in Harboiada area of Qalat that exploded with a bang. The windowpanes of nearby buildings were shattered by the blast, however, no loss of life was reported.
