Elections before Feb 15: President Musharraf (Updated at 1640) ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf said that the general elections will be held before February 15, 2008.He also announced to take off his uniform before taking oath as the president for the second time."General elections in the country would be held by February 15 next year," Musharraf was quoted as saying after chairing a meeting of the National Security Council. Musharraf’s candidature: SC bench extended

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court’s eight-member bench, for hearing the three constitutional petitions against the validation of President General Pervez Musharraf’s nomination papers, has been extended and two more judges have been included in the bench.Confirming the extension of the bench, PRO of the Supreme Court told that Justice Tassadduq Hussain Jilani and Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday have been added to the bench.According to the PRO, the extension has been made on the request from the lawyers of Justice retired Wajeehuddin for forming the full court.After the extension, the 10-member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Javed Iqbal consists of Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi, Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokar, Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Syed Jamshed Ali, Justice Ghulam Rabbani, Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani and justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday.
