The Sask. NDP's pre-election campaign

Wow, who know what all can happen with Saskatchewan politics during summer? But quite obviously a lot can happen, and don't forget the controversy with that. To start off, I should mention what is becoming a pretty controversial thing in this province: the NDP campaign. Currently, the most noticeable aspect of the pre-election campaign are the ' Wolf-in-sheep's-clothing ' ads, which appear of buses and billboards (the linked news article only really mentions the pamphlets), and will be in a pamphlet come election. Ever since this campaign came out (about a week ago), there has been at least a couple of articles on it every day in both of Saskatchewan's major newspapers. During this time, the Saskatchewan Party (essentially SK's Conservative Party) has spent all their efforts on trying to attack the NDP's campaign (surprisingly, they're not really attacking the NDP itself). The next portion of the NDP's pre-election campaign is called, " The Same...

Message with Call Key

This is actually an “old” tip. I write it here because I have been seeing some people are still using Options / Send menu to send message (SMS, MMS, Email). You can actually just press Call key to send message (no need to select Options /Send menu). Compatible devices : S60 1st, 2nd, 3rd Edition, Nokia N-Series Nokia E-Series.

Delete files in your Inbox

When you cant delete a file which is in your inbox the normal way, here is what you can do : 1. Install FExplorer. 2. Launch it and goto the path/folder of your message inbox. If its on the C drive, it would be C:\system\Mail\00001001_S and the same if its on the E. 3. You will notice there are more folders, 0 to9 and a to f. Just go look into all those folders and you should be able to find the file that you want to delete. 4. Once found, click on Options > File > Delete. 5. Exit FExplorer & go to your Inbox to delete the file again.

Changing Game zip file to jar

* 2 methods of changing the zip file to jar. 1st Method : • Let me take the example of a file named capoeira _.zip. • At the time of downloading the file, it will ask you if you want to open it or save to PC. • Select the option to save it to your PC. • Now rename the file name from capoeira_.zip to capoeira_.jar • Save the file. • It will be saved in .jar format now. 2nd Method : • Lets say you have the file capoeira_ in zip format in your PC. • Extract the contents to a folder on your PC using WinZip. • Don’t delete the zip file. You will need it. • Open the folder. • Go to "Tools" >> "Folder Options" • Go to "View" tab • Uncheck the option "Hide extensions for known file types" • Save the changes and exit the folder. • Now you will notice that the the zip file is named capoeira_.zip • Rename it to capoeira_.jar • That’s it. Dont forget to check the "Hide extensions for known file types" after you are done.

Long time no post ...

As one might notice by viewing my archives, I have remained in a political cave this summer. But now that the Monte Bello Summit is over, Québec by-elections are coming up, and the House of Commons is due to sit in three weeks, I thought it may be safe to return from my cave. However, all the political action of the summer is now quite past tense, so anything I add to the blogosphere would have no point (if you wish to read the general idea of my views on recent events, please see ndp.ca ). I'll try to put up a posting or two this week on les affairs en Saskatchewan , which might even be of interest to some of you Ontarians! In the mean time, check out another goof-up by the non-media world: http://politicsblog.ctv.ca/blog/_archives/2007/8/20/3170563.html

SMTP: No DATA command sent-rset

Summary: Messages sent to a relay server (Surgemail) would often have messages not get delivered. Messages were being delivered through an ASP application. However some messages would go through. Performing a telnet session works fine. When checking the SMTP logs the client would issue a rset command after the RCPT TO: command. The SMTP server (surgemail) would reply with an recipient ok and would be received by the client. Cause: The cause was Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.0.359 running the Internet E-mail Auto Protect. Disable the feature. James Chong (MVP) MCSE | M+, S+, MCTS, Security+ msexchangetips.blogspot.com
