CNews CHAMAN: The security forces grabbed 257 Uzbek and Afghan nationals during a search operation conducted in Pak-Afghan border area near Chaman.
Talking to CNews News, DPO Chaman Naseebullah Khilji said that Police raided a house near Pak-Afghan border and arrested 20 Uabek nationals, followed by a security cordon around the border area in collaboration with ATF.
Meanwhile, the search operation was conducted and more Uzbeks and Afghans were nabbed from various houses there, which raised the number of the hitherto arrested persons to 257.
DPO Chaman said the most of the arrested persons belonged to the northern areas of Afghanistan; also, three agents running the business of the cross-border transportation of people were arrested.
The arrested persons have been shifted to Saddar police station in Chaman. Police is still on high alert and more raids are being conducted.
