CNews PESHAWAR: NWFP Chief Minister, Akram Khan Durrani has said that in spite of the extremist attitude of the Jamaat-e-Islami, he would continue making efforts to save MMA from disintegration.
He said that Benazir Bhutto’s homecoming under the shadow of the National Reconciliation Ordinance was shameful.
Talking to CNews News correspondent, Amjad Aziz Malik, after shifting to his private residence, Akram Khan Durrani told that he has always upheld the politics of tolerance and forbearance and he kept making efforts to keep the relations of the province with the federation amiable so that the province could develop.
Without mincing words, he said that the attitudes of the Jamaat-e-Islami and Awami National Party hurt him. He said that he has fully devoted his services for the development of NWFP province and for the prosperity of its people during all these five years of his tenure, of which, he is proud of.
Akram Khan Durrani said that he couldn’t make law against the father keeping his children deprived of education and this would keep haunting him.
Akram Khan Durrani, paying tributes to the Governor Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai, said that he has a soft heart for the province.
