Lawyers hold protest rally in Lahore against presidential election

CNews LAHORE: Lahore lawyers held a protest rally against the presidential election on Saturday. Heavy contingents of police were deployed at Mall Road.
Large number of policemen, apart of the plain-clothed officials, was posted at Aiwan-e-Adl, Town Hall, GPO Chowk, High Court Chowk, Regal Chowk and outside Punjab Assembly.
Police had blocked traffic at various points of Mall Road by putting barriers and barbed wires.

SC dismisses last petition against Musharraf’s eligibility ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Thursday dismissed the last petition against President Musharraf's eligibility to contest the presidential elections.
