CNews Islamabad: In occupied Kashmir (IoK), the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leaders, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Bilal Ghani Lone, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zaffar Akbar Butt and Javed Ahmed Mir were placed under house arrest on Friday.
The leaders told media men from their residences in Occupied Srinagar that they were placed under house arrest since early morning and a large number of Indian police personnel were deployed at their houses to prevent them from venturing out, KMS reported.
The leaders were informed about the restrictions on their movement outside their residences in Occupied Srinagar, as they were planning to lead a protest march on the Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh's visit to the occupied territory on Friday.
They had also a plan to present a memorandum at the United Nations Observers Group at Sonawar about the recently discovered unmarked graves and custodial disappearances in Indian occupied Kashmir.
