CNews KARACHI: Pakistan’s renowned comedian of silver screen in the sixties and the seventies, Lehri is waiting in a local hospital for getting attention of the government officials.
Safirullah, known as Lehri is being treated at the intensive care unit of a hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi for a few days.
Doctors say that film artist Lehri was admitted to hospital due to suffering from respiratory problem and pneumonia.
However, his condition is much better now but he is lying unconscious because of weakness.
Lehri’s son-in-law said that the great film artist of his time is presently facing financial problems.
He said that funds have been announced by the government time and again but now its silence on this matter is disappointing.
On the other side, according to sources, hospital management is demanding to deposit Rs.50,000 on account of Lehri’s medical treatment.
