CNews ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar told the Senate on Monday that list of bigwigs whose loans were written off during last five years would be presented in both Houses of the Parliament within 30 days.Replying to a point of order about self-immolation by a man in Karachi following humiliation of his mother and sister by goons hired by the bank for recovery of their outstanding dues, the Prime Minister said this way of recovery of bank loans was unlawful and banks would have to follow law of the land for the recovery of loans. He said he has already directed Governor State Bank of Pakistan to hold inquiry into to the incident of self-immolation in Karachi and present a written report on the matter. He further said that Inspector General Police Sindh has been directed to initiate criminal proceedings against those who humiliated the female members of the man who committed self-immolation.Earlier speaking on a point of order Ahmed Ali said the bank authorities sent goons to the house of one Tufail, who failed to deposit loan amount in time. They humiliated his mother and sister which led him to commit suicide.

July 05: A Pakistani Scientist in Britain has invented a new chemical for processing plastic (polythene) bags which has the quality of dissolution after its use in 105 days.A manufacturing unit for these plastic bags was being set up in Turkey while interest has been shown in the setting up of a big unit and manufacturing firm’s head quarter in Karachi which will be used to supply such dissolvable polythene bags to Asian countries. The Director of UK based firm Bio Plast Biodegradable Plastics GL Punn while leading a 15 member delegation called on EDO Municipal Services City Government Masood Alam. The Executive Director of Bio Plast Pakistan Muhammad Hanif Awan and M. Sultan Mehmood Awan was also present on this occasion. The Director of Bio Plast informed the EDO Municipal Services about the characteristics of new chemical. He said that the firm was going to set up its first plant in Turkey which will be operative in next two months. The delegation also praised the vi
