CNews KARACHI: Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken oath as the new Chief Minister of Sindh today. He said poverty alleviation was top priority of his government. Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan, Sindh Governor administered oath to him in a ceremony that took place at the Governor House.Leaders of PPP, members of the provincial assembly and high civil officials attended the oath taking ceremony. MQM members were not present on the occasion.Syed Qaim Ali Shah was elected unopposed as the new Chief Minister of Sindh on Monday and 90 provincial assembly members reposed confidence in him. 69 members of MQM, PML-Q and NPP did not attend the assembly session.Talking to media after oath-taking ceremony, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said MQM would soon end its boycott. He said poverty alleviation was foremost priority new Sindh government and a small cabinet would be formed in the beginning. Qaim Ali Shah said there was no deadlock from the PPP. New CM of Sindh said instructions were given to the officials for uninterrupted power-supply. Later, he visited Quaid’s Mausoleum to offer “Fatiha”. Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khoro, Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza accompanied the Chief Minister.
