CNews KARACHI: At-least six killed and several others were injured as a three-story building collapsed in Sawat colony in Baldia Town here late Saturday night.
According to CNews correspondent, a Three-storey house in Sawat Colony of Baldia Town crumples, killing at least three persons while several others were injured, rescue workers of Edhi and Chippa reaches at the site.
Correspondent further informed that residents of the house were still trapped under the rubble as there are almost more than 40 people were living in the house.
Rescue works underway but owing to congested street rescue works were hampered while heavy machineries were also called for rescue works.
Whereas on the directive of City Nazim Mustafa Kamal, workers of Municipal Services reached the site and started helping in rescue works, city nazim is personally looking after the rescue works.
Reasons of the collapse were still unknown but according to locals it might be because of sub standard building material.
