CNews RAWALPINDI: Pakistan staged strong protest against the bombardment of US-led coalition forces on the Angorada area lies in Pakistan’s territory here on Friday.
At least Pakistani six soldiers were wounded in a US-led coalition force bombardment in the country's border tribal area, said sources Friday.
The latest incident of territorial violation took place in Angorada area of the South Waziristan tribal agency.
According to security sources, the US-led coalition troops were conducting an operation in the Bermal area of Afghanistan against Taliban militants when more than a dozen mortar shells fell inside Pakistani territory Thursday night.
They said one of the mortar shells hit a security check post that wounded six soldiers, and the rest of the mortar shells did not cause any casualties but damaged trees in the mountainous area.
